In the international bullion market, gold surged by $37, reaching an unprecedented $3,855 per ounce for the first time. Following this sharp rise in global rates, domestic gold prices in Pakistan also witnessed a historic increase. The price of gold per tola soared by Rs. 3,178, reaching a record-breaking Rs. 406,778 for the first time in the country’s history. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold rose by Rs. 2,725, hitting Rs. 348,746. It is worth mentioning that on Monday, gold prices had already jumped by an astonishing Rs. 590,000 per tola, crossing the Rs. 400,000 mark for the first time, settling at Rs. 403,600. Meanwhile, silver prices declined slightly, with per tola rates dropping by Rs. 16 to Rs. 4,776.
