Gold and silver prices soared to record highs in both local and international markets, driven by a sharp rally in global bullion prices.
In the international bullion market, gold rose by $58 to reach $4,198 per ounce, marking a significant increase.
Following the global uptrend, local gold prices also hit an all-time high. The per tola price of gold jumped by Rs5,800, reaching Rs440,900 for the first time in Pakistan’s history. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold rose by Rs4,972 to Rs378,000.
It is noteworthy that on Tuesday, the per tola price had already surged by Rs6,900, reaching Rs435,100.
Meanwhile, silver prices also witnessed a historic rise. The per tola price of silver increased by Rs90, reaching Rs5,337 — the highest level ever recorded in the country.
