The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has crossed another milestone in the world of advanced technology, with the first test flight of a flying taxi successfully completed in Dubai.
According to Emirati officials, the test flight started from the desert area of Margham, between Dubai and Al Ain, and successfully concluded at Al Maktoum Airport.
Officials stated that this electric air taxi can fly at a speed of 320 kilometers per hour and has the capacity to carry four passengers. It is completely environmentally friendly and produces negligible noise compared to conventional aerial vehicles.
The Emirati government has announced that the air taxi service will be officially launched for the public in 2026, and a schedule for more experimental flights in urban areas is also being prepared.
The company Skyports is currently establishing the first air taxi station near the Dubai International Airport.
