Sitara Peroxide Limited (SPL) announced on Thursday that it has temporarily suspended its production activities as part of its “Balancing, Modernization, and Replacement (BMR)” project aimed at upgrading and improving its systems.
The chemical manufacturing company disclosed this information in a notice submitted to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX).
According to the notice, the company’s management has initiated emergency measures to prevent potential damage caused by sudden weather changes, which posed a risk of leakage of highly flammable and valuable chemicals.
Sitara Peroxide stated that all company resources are currently being focused on safety measures, and all relevant stakeholders are being kept informed about the situation.
The company further emphasized that the safety of its plant, machinery, employees, and the environment remains its top priority, and all safety, emergency, and environmental response protocols have been fully activated.
Sitara Peroxide Limited is registered in Pakistan as a public limited company under the Companies Ordinance, 1984. Its core business involves the manufacture and sale of Hydrogen Peroxide (H₂O₂) and Sitara Safe, a disinfectant solution.
