Pakistan, Russia Discuss Revival of Pakistan Steel Mills

Special Assistant to the Prime Minister, Haroon Akhtar Khan, held a high level meeting with the Pakistani Ambassador to Russia, during which detailed discussions were held on the revival of Pakistan Steel Mills with Russian cooperation.

According to sources, Haroon Akhtar Khan said that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has a clear vision to make Pakistan Steel Mills operational once again. He stated that this vision is now moving towards becoming a practical reality, as five companies have expressed interest in investment and revival of Pakistan Steel Mills.

He further said that Pakistan is writing a new chapter in its history with Russia, and Russian companies are keen to invest in and revive Pakistan Steel Mills. Haroon Akhtar Khan added that a comprehensive roadmap for the revival of Pakistan Steel Mills has already been prepared, and the revival process along with meetings with Russian officials is progressing at a fast pace.
