Adviser to the Finance Minister Khurram Shehzad has said that foreign investors are once again expressing confidence in Pakistan’s economy as the government’s structural reforms and expenditure reduction measures have started yielding positive results.
He made these remarks while referring to the findings of the Overseas Investors Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OICCI) Perception and Investment Survey 2025.
In a post on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Khurram Shehzad stated that the survey results present encouraging signs, reflecting a significant improvement in investor confidence in Pakistan.
According to the survey, 73% of foreign investors now consider Pakistan a favorable destination for investment, compared to 61% two years ago.
Shehzad added that this growing confidence demonstrates that Pakistan’s path toward economic reform and recovery is clear and credible. He noted that currency stability, lower inflation, improved fiscal discipline, a controlled monetary and external situation, and international acknowledgment of these improvements have all contributed to boosting investor satisfaction.
