Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar chaired an inter-ministerial meeting in Islamabad to finalize Pakistan’s agenda for the 8th session of the Pakistan-Oman Joint Ministerial Commission (JMC), scheduled to be held next week.
A statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs indicated that the meeting reviewed the progress in all key areas of bilateral cooperation.
Ishaq Dar emphasized a comprehensive and result-oriented strategy to strengthen Pakistan-Oman relations, with special focus on trade, investment, energy, manpower export, and maritime cooperation. He underscored the importance of accelerating Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) in key sectors, enhancing cooperation in education, logistics, and consular affairs, and harmonizing measures to boost exports and generate employment opportunities.
The meeting was also attended by Special Advisor Tariq Bajwa, Additional Secretaries from the Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Pakistan’s Ambassador to Oman, and senior officials from other relevant ministries.
