One of the country’s largest cement companies, DG Khan Cement, announced on Wednesday that it has opened a Letter of Credit (LC) to install Pakistan’s largest single clinker production line.
According to reports, the company shared this development in a notice submitted to the Pakistan Stock Exchange. The notice stated that the company has established a Letter of Credit (LC) to install Pakistan’s largest single clinker production line (brownfield) with a daily capacity of 11,000 tons at the Mouza Khofli Sattai, Dera Ghazi Khan site.
According to sources, DG Khan Cement, established in 1978, is engaged in the manufacturing and sale of clinker, ordinary Portland cement, and sulfate-resistant cement. The company supplies its products across markets nationwide through an extensive network of more than 2,200 dealers. In addition, it exports its products to neighboring countries such as Bangladesh and Afghanistan, as well as to overseas markets in Central Africa.
On the other hand, Pakistan’s cement exports are weakening, even though domestic demand is showing moderate stability. According to sources from the All Pakistan Cement Manufacturers Association, cement exports declined by 26.53 percent year-on-year in November 2025 to 590,183 tons, compared to 803,258 tons in November 2024. This decline further reinforces an already concerning trend, following decreases of 23 percent in October and 15 percent in September.
