The Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) approved four major development projects yesterday with a total cost exceeding 240 billion rupees.
According to sources, ECNEC approved these projects during its meeting chaired by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar. A statement issued by the Deputy Prime Minister’s Office said that the approved projects include the expansion of AFIC–NIHD Rawalpindi, the Prime Minister’s Youth Skill Development Program, the Karachi Yellow Line BRT corridor, and the 34.5 megawatt Harpo Hydropower Project in Gilgit Baltistan.
The meeting was attended by the Minister for Finance, the Minister for Planning, the Sindh Minister for Planning, SAPM Tariq Bajwa, the Secretary Planning, the Minister for Defence, the Secretary Water Resources, and other senior officials from administrative and financial departments.
