On Monday, gold and silver prices saw a significant surge in both international and domestic markets, reaching record highs.
In the global bullion market, gold jumped by $75 to reach $4,670 per ounce. This sharp rise in international gold prices also impacted the local market, where per tola gold increased by PKR 7,500, reaching PKR 489,362 for the first time in history. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold rose by PKR 6,431, reaching PKR 419,549. It is noteworthy that on Saturday, per tola gold had already increased by PKR 6,431 to PKR 481,862.
Meanwhile, the price of silver per tola also surged by PKR 300, reaching a high of PKR 9,782.
