The unstoppable rise in gold and silver prices continues in global and local markets, with the price of one tola of gold surpassing 500,000 PKR for the first time.
According to reports, in the global bullion market on Wednesday, gold surged by a significant $127, reaching a record level of $4,840 per ounce. Due to this sharp increase in international gold prices, the local market also saw a dramatic rise, with gold reaching 506,362 PKR per tola, an increase of 12,700 PKR. Similarly, the price of ten grams of gold rose by 10,888 PKR, reaching 434,123 PKR. For reference, on Tuesday, the price of one tola of gold had already increased by 4,300 PKR, reaching 493,662 PKR, a record high at the time.
Additionally, the price of silver per tola rose by 64 PKR, reaching a historic high of 9,933 PKR for the first time in the country.
