The government has announced new prices for petroleum products for the next 15 days.
According to a notification issued by the Petroleum Division, the price of High-Speed Diesel (HSD) has been significantly reduced by Rs14 per litre, bringing the new diesel price to Rs265.65 per litre. However, the price of petrol has been kept unchanged at Rs263.45 per litre.
The new prices will take effect from December 16 (today).
It is noteworthy that during the previous fortnightly review, the government had reduced the price of petrol by Rs2 per litre, while the price of high-speed diesel was cut by Rs4.79 per litre.
