Ishaq Dar Chairs ECNEC Meeting, Approves Development Projects Worth Over Rs117 Billion

According to sources, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar chaired a meeting of the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs yesterday and approved key development projects worth more than Rs117 billion.

These projects include the extension of the Tourism Facilitation Program until July 30, 2026, along with major initiatives in the energy, infrastructure, and transport sectors aimed at promoting socio-economic development and improving the delivery of public services. According to sources, Ishaq Dar directed the relevant ministries to ensure that these projects are completed with proper planning, effective implementation, and sustainability.

The meeting was attended by the Finance Minister, Special Adviser on Economic Affairs Tariq Bajwa, Sindh’s Minister for Planning and Development and Irrigation, as well as secretaries of cabinet, health, communications, and planning, along with senior officials from the relevant ministries.
