Maple Leaf Cement Factory Limited has announced key appointments in the company.
According to reports, the listed company shared this update with the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) through a notice. The notice stated that the company’s Board of Directors has reappointed Tariq Saeed Segal as the Chairman of the Board in a non-executive capacity. At the same time, Saeed Tariq Segal has been appointed as the company’s Chief Executive Officer for a three-year term starting from January 1, 2026.
Maple Leaf Cement Factory Limited (MLCF) is the flagship company of the Kohinoor Maple Leaf Group, a prominent Pakistani business group active in textiles, cement, capital markets, and healthcare. MLCF operates the largest single-site cement factory in Pakistan, which includes four gray cement production lines and one white cement line, with an installed total clinker production capacity of 7.8 million tons per year.
Last month, MLCF launched a public offer to acquire 11.72 percent shares of Pioneer Cement Limited (PIOC) at a price of 478.43 rupees per share. Under a prior agreement, it had already planned to acquire 58.03 percent of the shares at the same rate.
This public offer is part of the ongoing agreement to acquire up to an additional 11.72 percent of Pioneer Cement shares at 478.43 rupees per share. The total transaction, representing 69.75 percent of PIOC shares, is valued at 75.8 billion rupees (270.5 million dollars).
