If Pakistan and Germany work together, our future will be sustainable and bright,
Exports of Pakistani products to Germany have increased
According to sources, addressing a workshop organized by the Towel Manufacturers and Exporters Association, Germany’s Consul for Commercial and Economic Affairs, Mrs. Anna Klass, said that the economic partnership between Pakistan and Europe is significant. She stated that there is strong demand for Pakistani textile products in Germany, which is why there are deep ties between the textile sectors of Pakistan and Germany. Textile and towel producers have a strong presence in Germany.
She added that if Pakistan and Germany collaborate, our future will be sustainable and bright. She expressed satisfaction that Pakistani exporters are in contact with the German Importers Association.
During the workshop, Dr. Michael Arids, head of the Green Pakistan Project, said that under the framework of 12 different certifications, Pakistani exporters are supported by private sector payments of significant fees, and Germany’s government has been working with the Green Pakistan Project under the “German Due Diligence Act” since 2025, which will continue until the end of this year.
He explained that the German government has created a “dashboard” for the Green Pakistan Project, which will display the names and complete profiles of exporting industries that comply with new global sustainability standards. This dashboard will enable Pakistani exporters to directly connect with Germany’s 300 importers and increase their chances of securing export orders.
