Pakistan Restores Gold Import–Export Policy After Months of Uncertainty

The Ministry of Commerce has issued an order restoring the export and import of gold after months of uncertainty, allowing exporters to once again benefit from the mandatory 120-day period under the Entrustment Scheme.

This order was issued following the approval of the proposal by the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) and its subsequent endorsement by the federal cabinet.

The Ministry of Commerce further stated that Notification No. SRO 760(I)/2025 dated May 6, 2025, has been immediately revoked, and the suspension period under its Notification No. SRO 760(I)/2013 dated September 2, 2013, has been waived accordingly, enabling exporters to benefit from the mandatory 120-day entitlement period under the Entrustment Scheme.
