Economic and defence cooperation between Pakistan and Türkiye is writing a new chapter in the history of bilateral relations.
According to sources, effective policies of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) are paving the way for new avenues of economic cooperation between Pakistan and Türkiye. In this regard, Federal Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal Khan held an important meeting with a high-level Turkish delegation.
The delegation included senior experts in aviation, aircraft manufacturing, aerospace engineering, drone technology, defence systems, automotive engineering, and advanced materials. On this occasion, Pakistan and Türkiye reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing cooperation in aviation, defence production, and high-tech industries.
During the meeting, the Turkish delegation expressed strong interest in joint ventures, technology transfer, and local manufacturing in Pakistan. Both countries also agreed to expand long-standing bilateral cooperation, particularly in aerospace, defence production, and minerals development. Pakistan’s strong engineering base and valuable mineral resources were described as key strengths for industrial collaboration between the two nations.
Experts believe that Turkish investment in aerospace and defence production will significantly boost Pakistan’s domestic production and exports. Joint industrial projects between Pakistan and Türkiye are expected to bring innovation in technology transfer and high-tech manufacturing. The SIFC is playing a pivotal role in Pakistan’s economic and defence development.
