In the interbank market, the Pakistani rupee recorded a 0.04% appreciation against the US dollar at the start of trading on Monday. The rupee strengthened by 12 paisas to reach Rs 280.05 against the dollar.
It is worth recalling that last week the rupee had closed at Rs 280.17 after gaining 8 paisas.
Meanwhile, on the global front, the Japanese yen showed some improvement on Monday. According to sources, the euro (European currency) found support after US President Donald Trump expressed optimism about negotiations to reach a peace agreement aimed at ending the ongoing war in Ukraine.
