PFVA announces full support for BMG in Karachi Chamber Elections 2026-28

KARACHI: Waheed Ahmed, patron-in-chief of the All Pakistan Fruit and Vegetable Exporters, Importers and Merchants Association (PFVA), has announced full support for the Businessmen Group (BMG) in the Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) elections for 2026-28.

Ahmed said PFVA strongly backs its chairman, Aslam Pakhali, who is contesting the KCCI elections as an executive committee member and has also been nominated for the position of senior vice president.

He said Pakhali’s nomination is a matter of pride for PFVA and Pakistan’s fruit and vegetable export sector, as it will further strengthen the representation of exporters, importers and traders in one of the country’s most important chambers.

“Pakistan’s export sector needs a strong and effective voice on key business forums. Representation in KCCI will provide a critical platform to highlight issues related to export growth, trade facilitation, taxation, logistics, ease of doing business and access to international markets,” Ahmed said.

He added that PFVA supports the BMG panel from serial numbers 1 to 15 in both the corporate and associate classes, and urged members of Karachi’s business, trade and industrial community to participate fully in the KCCI elections scheduled for Sept. 26.

Ahmed expressed confidence that close cooperation among KCCI, PFVA and other export sectors would help address challenges facing the business community, strengthen exports and support Pakistan’s economic growth.

He wished Pakhali and the entire BMG team success in the KCCI elections 2026-28 and reiterated PFVA’s commitment to promoting the interests of Pakistan’s fruit and vegetable industry and the broader export community.
