In a historic initiative for Pakistan’s dairy sector, livestock imported directly from the United States have arrived in the country through a collaboration between Cloud Agri Group and the State Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC). This move is expected to significantly boost milk production and dairy exports.
The Green Corporate Livestock Initiative (GCLI), supported by SIFC, is spearheading the modernization of Pakistan’s livestock sector. The initiative employs advanced breeding technology, genetic improvements, and various training programs to strengthen the country’s dairy and livestock industry.
Under GCLI, scientific measures are being implemented to improve animal health, nutrition, and breeding practices, ensuring sustainable sector growth.
In 2024, a shipment of high-quality livestock from Brazil under GCLI was warmly welcomed, marking a significant step for Pakistan’s dairy development.
SIFC’s support has enabled investment and international partnerships, contributing to the National Herd Transformation program and helping elevate the livestock sector to global standards.
This initiative is seen as a major step in enhancing Pakistan’s dairy productivity and international competitiveness.
