Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi Says No Passenger With Complete Travel Documents Is Being Stopped

Federal Minister for Interior and Narcotics Control Mohsin Naqvi said on Tuesday that no passenger possessing complete travel documents is being stopped from traveling, nor will they be stopped in the future.

The federal minister rejected reports regarding passengers being off-loaded at airports or facing issues during immigration.

According to the Interior Ministry’s statement, he visited Lahore Airport to review the immigration process for passengers and to assess the performance of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).

According to the ministry, Mohsin Naqvi warned that passengers carrying incomplete or fake documents would not be allowed to travel under any circumstances.

“The dignity of Pakistan is the dignity of all of us. Any passenger who brings disgrace to the country cannot be permitted to travel.”

This development comes after some social media posts claimed that passengers were being off-loaded without reason.

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), in a statement issued on November 27, dismissed these social media claims, calling the posts fabricated and misleading, saying they were created to cause unnecessary concern among the public.

The agency stated that they had not off-loaded any passenger whose travel documents were complete and whose travel purpose was legitimate. It added that the safety of passengers is their top priority.

The FIA urged citizens not to trust illegal agents and to ensure they travel with complete and verified documentation.

Mohsin Naqvi Praises FIA’s Performance

The Federal Interior Minister observed the system linking passengers’ travel history with their identity cards and passports at immigration counters.

He appreciated the performance of FIA Director Ali Zia and his team for the fast system.

On this occasion, the federal minister met passengers and asked about the time and experience of the immigration process.

According to the ministry’s statement, passengers expressed satisfaction, with some telling the federal minister that the process was completed in just two minutes. They credited these improvements to the federal minister’s frequent visits to the airport.

Ali Zia and other relevant officials were also present during the minister’s visit.
