NetSol Technologies Ltd., one of Pakistan’s leading software companies, has signed a contract worth more than Rs. 500 million with the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government to launch the next phase of the province’s Paperless Government Project.
The company disclosed this major development in a notice submitted to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on Friday.
According to the notice, NetSol Technologies has entered into a landmark agreement valued at over Rs. 500,000,000 with the KP government. The initiative is backed by World Bank funding to advance the next phase of the province’s digital governance transformation.
The statement added that in the first phase, the Chief Minister’s summary system, cabinet workflow, and other paper-based procedures were successfully digitized. The upcoming phase will focus on enabling automated communication and secure integration among various government departments, ensuring faster, more transparent, and audit-friendly decision-making.
Sources noted that NetSol Technologies Ltd. was founded in 1996 as a private company and later converted into a public limited entity. Today, it develops and sells computer software and provides related services both locally and internationally.
